The War Against Boys: How Misguided Feminism Is Harming Our Young Men

The War Against Boys: How Misguided Feminism Is Harming Our Young Men (Simon and Schuster) by Christina Hoff Sommers.

Fairly shrill sometimes polemical attack on the preposterous "politically correct" notion that boys can be reformed early in their lives to act more like girls. The attacks sometimes get pretty personal against well known authors like Carol Gilligan, Mary Pipher (Ophelia Syndrome) and William Pollack (Real Boys), but I basically agree with much of what she has to say. Boys won't and can't be turned into acting like girls no matter how useful some people may think that could be. More useful -- boys need their fathers around for leadership and firm discipline according to Sommers and I agree.
